Zodiaque Dance Company (Drama Theater, UB Center for the Arts, Thu-Sat 7:30pm, Sun 2pm, $22/$7 UB students)
Zodiaque presents their 49th annual spring program, which includes jazz, tap, ballet, modern, commercial, and contemporary dance performed by current UB dance majors. Sunday’s performance includes a noon pre-show workshop for ages 14+, and a dance class and Q&A with the dancers.

A man goes on a blind date in a bowling alley, in the world premiere of this comedy.

This Alabama soul outfit has branched out into funk and disco in recent years. With Sugadaisy.

Emily Catalano (Helium, 30 Mississippi St, 8pm, $22, 18+)
This comedian and filmmaker has toured with the likes of Pete Holmes, Sarah Silverman, Tig Notaro, and Patton Oswalt.

Unity Jam Session (PAUSA Art House, 19 Wadsworth St, 6:30pm, $12.50)
Musicians and singers from “both sides of Main St” are welcome to join in this open jam, a tribute to Tim Webb.

Charlie Coughlin (Duende, 85 Silo City Row, 7pm)
Violinist Coughlin performs Irish and American folk music.

Atlanta comic Perry is the co-host of BET’s Who’s Got Jokes, and starred in Madea’s Big Happy Family, but remains a stand-up at heart.

The Subversive Theatre Collective pays tribute to Buffalo’s celebrated labor leader and playwright, with a performance of excerpts from Fried’s 2007 one-man show Boilermakers and Martinis.

Assuming you’re not still sore that her boyfriend has another Super Bowl ring, dance the night away with fellow Swifties, with a bonus Morgan Wallen after-party.

New Movies This Week

Dune: Part Two (in wide release)
Dune is an unfilmable book, and Denis Villenueve filmed the shit out of it for 2021’s first installment. Part two adds Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Léa Seydoux, and Christopher Walken to the cast, and more screen time for Zendaya.

Oscar-Nominated Shorts (Amherst Theater, 3500 Main St.)
The Amherst is showing blocks of the Academy’s picks for Documentary, Animated, and Live-Action shorts. Check listings.

Problemista (not screening in Buffalo)
A24’s latest follows a young Salvadorian immigrant in NYC, trying to impress his erratic art-world boss (Tilda Swinton) enough for her to give him a work visa.

Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate (Peacock)
The 2010 supervillain spoof that isn’t Despicable Me gets a very late straight-to-streaming sequel without any of the original voice cast.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba — To the Hashira Training (North Park Theater, 1428 Hertel Ave.)
The anime series’ season 3 finale and season 4 premiere are combined for a theatrical release.

Chaari 111 (Elmwood Center, 2001 Elmwood Ave.)
A spy who has no skills but incredible luck has to save Hyderabad from a mysterious villain. In Telugu w/subtitles.

46th Annual Shamrock Run (Louisiana & O’Connell St, noon, $35/$40 late)
This 8K has been run in support of the Old First Ward Community Center for 45 years. Register to run on the race’s web site.

Laugh Out Loud (9th Ward, 341 Delaware Ave, 6pm/9pm, $26, 18+)
Omar Gooding (Baby Boy, Barbershop the Series) hosts this night of comedy that also includes Fatman, Richie Santana, and Derrick Brooks, plus music by DJ King Shad. VIP tickets available, which include premium seating and post-show meet & greet.
