Knicks Blown Out in Game 3, Still Lead Series 2-1 Over Boston

The Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks in game three of the Eastern Conference semifinals at Madison Square Garden, winning 115-93. The Knicks still lead the series 2-1, but Boston had all the momentum in today’s matchup.

After shooting an abysmal 25/100 from three-point range in games 1 and 2, the Celtics hit 50% from three, making 20/40 shots with Payton Pritchard and Jayson Tatum accounting for 10 of those 20 threes.

Pritchard dropped a career-high 23 points off the bench, being 5/10 on three pointers, having four rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Derrick White, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, and Jaylen Brown all had at least 15 points or more in this 22-point victory over the Knicks.

For the Knicks, they tried to mount another 20+ point comeback, but couldn’t get it done due to being 20% from three, and OG Anunoby taking a step back offensively with only 2 points in 31 minutes after dropping 29 points in game 1.

The Knicks look to bounce back in game four and take a 3-1 lead, while Boston will look to tie the series 2-2. Game four will be played at Madison Square Garden on Monday, May 12th at 7:30 pm.
