UB All-American Shaun Dolac signs with LA Rams

University at Buffalo Linebacker Shaun Dolac signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent this weekend following the conclusion of the 2025 National Football League (NFL) Draft.

Dolac was a walk-on when he first arrived at UB, and now finds himself fighting for a spot in the NFL after becoming ranked sixth in program history in tackles with 391 and fourth in solo tackles with 221.

Dolac was an AP All-American first team selection, the first Bull to be awarded this selection in program history. To put that into perspective, even NFL star Khalil Mack (2013) and former NFL player Jaret Paterson (2020) were only ever selected second-team All-Americans.

In his senior season, Dolac was also named the 2024 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY). Dolac recorded 168 tackles, six sacks, and five interceptions, which not only helped lead the UB Bulls to the Bahamas Bowl but also helped them to a victory over Liberty.

This signing by the Los Angeles Rams doesn’t come as a shock based on Dolac’s ability, but it shocked some Buffalo Bills fans, as he did meet with the Bills, who tend to sign local products to their squad.

Now, Dolac will get to work to compete for a spot on the Rams’ 53-man roster after going undrafted following a historic senior season at the University at Buffalo.
