The women’s basketball team dominated during the regular season, and capped that off by winning the WNIT — the second-biggest postseason tournament after March Madness. The Bulls are not only champions, they set a school record for most wins in a season, finishing 30-7. The team has improved every year under third-year coach Becky Burke, and the sky’s the limit for 2025-26.

Speaking of winning, both women’s and men’s tennis are having monster seasons as well, with the men currently on a 6-match win streak that’s put them in first place in the MAC conference. (For reasons that are unclear, MAC has not released the postseason schedule, but UB will certainly have a prominent place.)

There isn’t much good to say about the Sabres’ season, but they’ve won a few in a row and are out of last place. But there’s plenty that’s good with the two-time-defending-champion Bandits, who have been in first place all year and have clinched a playoff spot.
