The WRUB Radio Top 30 – April 22, 2024
Check out our Top 30 artists and albums on WRUB Radio, for the week of 4/15 – 4/21
From the fun to say Walla Walla, Washington, four-woman band Chastity Belt plays appealing offbeat indie rock with a throwback feel. They ascend to number one on our airwaves this week with their fifth studio album Live Laugh Love. That drops Merge singer-songwriter Rosali down to second place as Wolf Parade’s Dan Boeckner’s solo record climbs to three, alt-countriers Waxahatchee come in at four, while critically heralded Philly punksters (who preceded Rosali at the top) drop to the fifth spot.
Our highest debut of the week (at 14) comes from Canadian electropop singer-songwriter, Iskwe. Her birth name is Meaghan Meisters and her nom de plume is short for waseskwan iskwew which in turn is Cree for “Blue Sky Woman.” British alt faves Palace come in at 17 with their fifth record Ultrasound. Another one to watch is the latest from Still Corners, who leave Sub Pop’s comfy confines for a self-titled release that retains all their dream pop glory. A Reddit user called it “so understatedly weird” and I certainly could not do it more justice than that.
You’ll hear the 30 records below — with 220+ other records currently in rotation — on WRUB Radio.

The Black Keys: Yeah, you all know them and likely either love them or are really, really tired of them. We did have to comment on their album title referencing a 1970s funk-pop recording artist who had two #1 pop hits, but are probably best known for album covers which could charitably be described as provocative. Yes, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney are both from Ohio and play instruments. That’s the title! Here’s their latest video:
