The Listener (not playing in Buffalo!)
Steve Buscemi hasn’t directed a film since 2007’s Interview, which is a shame because his occasional forays behind the camera are always terrific. Tessa Thompson is the only actor on screen, as she manages a help line and takes calls from the likes of Margaret Cho, Blue del Barrio, Rebecca Hall, Alia Shawkat, and Casey Wilson.

A Fragile Flower (Walden Galleria)
A singer (director/star Mai Thu Huyen) lives a glamorous lifestyle, which has a dark side. In Vietnamese with subtitles.

Aadujeevitham (Elmwood Center, 2001 Elmwood Ave)
A migrant worker goes to Saudi Arabia hoping to make money to send home, but finds himself trapped in the desert herding goats. In Telugu with subtitles.

Three airline employees are forced into a life of crime in Rajesh Krishnan’s heist comedy. In Hindi with subtitles.

Mai (Walden Galleria)
A woman and her neighbor develop feelings for each other. In Vietnamese with subtitles.
