In his State of the Union address, President Biden delivered a defiant argument for a second term, criticizing Trump without naming him.
In his speech, Biden denounced Jan. 6, urged congressional support for Ukraine, and called on Israel to allow more aid to enter Gaza. The President also addressed issues such as taxes, immigration, and access to abortion.
Nikki Haley pulled out of the Republican presidential primary race.
Donald Trump won 14 of the 15 primary elections on Super Tuesday. Haley did not endorse the former president, but urged him to consider her supporters. Earlier, the Supreme Court ruled that individual states could not remove Trump from the ballot.
France became the first country to enshrine the right to abortion in the constitution.
In an emotional ceremony, French president Emmanuel Macron said the historic change was the sealing of a long battle for “freedom, a fight made up of tears, tragedies and broken destinies.” Macron also said he wanted the measure inscribed in the EU charter of fundamental rights and that it should become a universal right.
