Donald Trump won the South Carolina Republican primary.
Trump won 60% of the vote, beating former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley in her home state. Trump is on track to win the nomination, despite the prospect of four criminal trials. Haley has vowed to stay in the race.
Hundreds of people were arrested across Russia for publicly mourning the death of Alexei Navalny.
Navalny, Russia’s leading opposition figure, was found dead at an Arctic penal colony. America prepared new sanctions against Russia, blaming Putin for Navalny’s death. Navalny’s wife, Yulia Navalnaya, has vowed to continue his work.
Benny Gantz, a member of the Israeli war cabinet, said that Israel would invade Rafah if the remaining hostages were not freed by March 10th.
Efforts to negotiate a ceasefire have continued in Caro, although progress is slow. The death toll in Gaza has now passed 29,000.
