Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin is presumed to have been killed in a plane crash.

Two months after Prigozhin led a rebellion over the direction of the war in Ukraine, a private plane he was traveling in crashed north of Moscow. Russian president Vladimir Putin called him a traitor after the incident and has ordered members of the Wagner Group to sign an oath of allegiance to the country. The Kremlin denies that it was behind Prigozhin’s death.

Donald Trump surrendered to authorities in Atlanta.

Trump was charged with 13 state felonies in connection with his attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. His fourth indictment in five months, the former president was charged alongside 18 co-defendants. The deadline for the rest of the defendants to turn themselves in was Friday.

India became the fourth country to carry out a moon landing.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission landed a rover which will gather data from the lunar surface. Several days prior, a Russian spacecraft crashed as it prepared to land, marking Russia’s first moon mission in 47 years a failure. Meanwhile, India’s moon landing marked the country as a global space power.
