A grand jury in Georgia indicted Donald Trump and 18 of his allies over their attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in the state.

Trump has now been indicted four times and faces a total of 91 criminal charges. The former president called the indictment a “witch hunt” and remains the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

A Montana judge ruled that the state’s constitution ensures a right to a clean environment.

Judge Kathy Seeley of the Montana 1st Judicial District Court ruled in favor of 16 young people who sued the state over a law that barred state officials from considering climate change in environmental reviews of energy policies. The court found that the law violated the state constitution’s right to a clean environment by ignoring the harm of fossil fuels.

America, Japan and South Korea agreed to step up military cooperation at a summit held at Camp David.

Chinese, North Korean and Russian aggression have brought Japan and South Korea closer, despite their historic divisions. The three countries, who in a joint statement condemned China’s “unlawful maritime claims” in the South China Sea, will hold joint military exercises and improve intelligence sharing.
